God's Word is Life-Changing

Day 42: Number 22:1-24:25

Balaam says to Balak, the king of Moab, "I cannot go against the Lord’s commands. I could not do anything, good or bad, on my own, but I must say what the Lord says." Numbers 24:13

God's Word is truth.  Powerful.  Sharper than a two-edged sword.  Piercing.  Convicting.  Reassuring.  Hope.  Transforming.  Life-changing.  Light.  Guidance.  Consistent.  Inspiring.  Grace.  Eternal.

What God says are the words we live by that leads to our eternal destiny.  We cannot reinvent truth.  We cannot compromise truth.  We cannot disobey truth.  We cannot rewrite truth. 

^"All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for showing people what is wrong in their lives, for correcting faults, and for teaching how to live right.  Using the Scriptures, the person who serves God will be capable, having all that is needed to do every good work." 2 Timothy 3:16-17

God's word teaches us to live in love, go the second or third mile with someone, be patient and kind, show tenderness towards others who wrong us, if someone needs food, clothing or shelter, provide it for them, seek righteousness first, care for the widows and orphans, confess the Lordship of Jesus,  remember Jesus' sacrifice through the Lord's Supper, share Jesus' story, be light and salt to people around you and always forgive so forgiveness can be experienced in our own lives.  

God's Word is everlasting and will change your life.  His words are meant to lead each of us to experience a better life now and eternally.
